Community Support

When people or organizations in Parker reach out to Dads of Parker for support in difficult times. We strive to rally around those in need. Here are some recent examples of this outreach.

Pancake Breakfast to support the Meyers Family

Dads of Parker held a pancake breakfast at VALE Academy. All proceeds from this event went directly to the Meyers family to help them through their challenging time and establish a memorial grant fund to honor the child that was taken away from this family. Listed below are some news accounts of the event.      9News Link      7News Link     Fox 31 Link

Pine Lane Elementary School Christmas Outreach

We have been brought a great opportunity to help Pine Lane Elementary School in Parker.   They were up against it and behind the eight-ball and needed our help.  Pine Lane is not a normal Douglas County school as a vast majority of their student population is lower income and absolutely needs the help! We were looking to help roughly 50-80 families. The school takes all of the donations and stages them in the school for the parents to come in and shop for free for their kids. They are in need of new coats, gloves, hats and new toys.  Dads or Parker is going to put up the first $250 with a goal of $2000.  We ended up raising around $2150.

Sagewood Middle School Golf Cart

Last year DOP was contacted by the special needs teachers at Sagewood who were looking for a golf cart they could use to transport their students and all needed gear to the playground which was up a steep hill. Members donated the golf cart and others donated time and materials to overhaul, clean and paint the golf cart.
